POVD’s tagline sells it as a premium porn site of the future. “Innovative. Cutting Edge,” it reads. “A New Porn Experience.” I thought at first this was going to be another VR site cashing in the burgeoning tech, but nah, this is POV porn for the hi-fi set. Or, as they put it out front, “Ultra-Def and 3D Audio. Nothing Has Ever Existed Like This Before.”

POVD.com is a paysite promising the most immersive POV pornos ever created. That’s a bold claim, especially in 2022, as those 3D sex helmets keep getting more popular. Of course, VR ain’t for everyone; if your gear ain’t top of the line, it’s like jacking off in scuba gear while watching dirty movies through a screen door. There’s definitely something to be said for the classic first-person format, so let’s find out what these guys bring to the genre.

Is This the POV Porn of the Future?

All the text on the tour page talks a big game, telling you to bust out the headphones for some pornographic magic. “Our videos are the closest thing to actually being there in the scene,” they say, going on to talk about “never-before-seen angles and the highest video quality on the web.” We already know the highest quality is 4K, but I’m sure as hell curious about those unique angles.

It’s kind of funny hyping your porn site with words when pictures usually do an even better job. The camerawork certainly looks strong, and the auto-playing montage at the top of the screen is crystal clear. And oh my fucking god, wait until you see the girls.

POVD.com features a ton of major pornstars and some gorgeous up-and-comers. Near the top of the screen, I see Lana Rhodes from behind, her clean asshole exposed as she takes a pee-pee in the cooter. Piper Perri straddles the cock she’s riding, legs spread wide, and then there’s Vina Sky with her ass in the air as she lowers herself onto a fleshy fire hydrant. Kenzie Reeves, Elsa Jean and Chloe Temple all make front-page appearances as well. Visitors can watch a few free video previews before being cut off for the day. I checked out the trailer for Sexy Swim, starring the lovely Natalia Nix. No shit, it’s one of the better porn trailers I’ve seen this week. I think it’s because they don’t do the machine-gun edits you see on other sites, instead letting you linger on each shot long enough for your dick to get harder and harder. How Much Is POV Porn in the Future?

From all their talk about high-tech porn, I got a little worried about the cost. If they’re operating on a higher technical level than other paysites, that means it’s got to cost more to produce the flicks. When that happens, the cost gets passed along to the masturbators on the end.

Fortunately, POVD.com is asking for the industry-standard thirty bucks a month, just like you’d pay more anywhere else. As elsewhere, the rate drops with longer subscriptions. Their yearly plan breaks down to about ten bones a month, which ain’t a bad deal as long as they’re updating enough.

And that’s actually where I found an issue. My golden standard for paysites is one update per week. Give me a new scene every seven days and I’m a happy man, give me more and I’ll love you even if it absolutely destroys my productivity. Unfortunately, it looks like POVD ain’t updating all that much. They’ve been adding a movie every two weeks lately. Before 2022, the movies don’t even have release dates stamped anywhere on them.

The good news is that, based on the release dates, those updates are coming out steadily. If I have to wait, it’s good to at least know when the new shit is coming. The slow releases are also offset by the overall nice size of the collection. POVD.com currently has around 400 POV fuck flicks in their stash. Updates may be infrequent, but it’s going to take you a long fucking time and a lot of lube to fap through this library.

Stepping Into a Porn Stud’s Shoes

The 3D audio is cool and the 4K is crisp, but at the end of the day, those are really just bells and whistles attached to dirty movies that were already good to begin with. What really matters is their attention to the form, which they’ve nailed, and the high caliber of the babes getting boned. I’ve been beating off to some of these chicks for years, and I have a feeling I might find some new favorites here.
